Peter Alfred-Adekeye
Chief Executive Officer
Peter Alfred-Adekeye is the founder and CEO of Multiven - the global leader in premium multivendor IP network maintenance services, and Pingsta - a collaborative platform for the world's internetwork experts with a core goal of growing mySolvr™ into the world's most comprehensive openly-available repository of internetwork intelligence.
Peter has over 15 years of technological vision, entrepreneurship and a deep understanding of Internet Protocol networking. Prior to Multiven, he spent five years in Cisco’s $6 billion services organization based in San Jose, California, where he excelled in various technical and non-technical leadership positions. These include leading the Core-Architecture Solutions group which was responsible for all in-depth IOS and IOS-XR software (source-code level), hardware (ASIC-level) and technology concerns raised by Cisco's service provider, fortune 500 corporations, enterprises and government customers worldwide, for all platforms. Peter also served as the escalation point for high-end routers such as the Gigabit Switch Router - GSR 12000, 10000, 7600, 7500 while adding value to Cisco's new flagship Core Routing System - CRS-1 before, during and after first customer shipment. Prior to this, he served as a senior consulting engineer within Cisco’s Advanced Services group in London covering EMEA for strategic service provider clients with network assets in excess of USD$1 billion e.g. AT&T, Level 3, UUNet/WorldCom, Global Crossing, to name a few.
Before Cisco, Peter held various engineering positions at IBM Global Services and AT&T Global Network Services based out of the United Kingdom. On a private note, Peter founded The African Network – TAN, a Silicon Valley headquartered 501(c)6 not-for-profit solely focused on fostering the growth of entrepreneurship, technology and human capital development in Africa and the African diaspora. TAN has strong affiliations with similar organizations in Silicon Valley such as The Indus Entrepreneurs - TiE and SVASE.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Civil Engineering from the University of Ife, Ile-Ife and has completed executive development education programs in leadership, strategic planning and management, business development and entrepreneurship at Stanford University. He is a certified Kepner-Tregoe Program Leader and a master-troubleshooter
Deka Yussuf
Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer
With over ten years of marketing expertise in North America, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Deka leads Multiven's global marketing organization and is responsible for developing and communicating the company's vision, service products and business marketing strategies to Multiven's customers, channel partners and eco-system stakeholders worldwide while extending the company's brand equity and mindshare globally. She also leads Multiven’s market intelligence, business development and strategic partnership business units. Prior to Multiven, she was involved in brand development, market intelligence and public relations for leading enterprise and consumer companies ranging from Cisco Systems to Diesel Jeans.
Deka was educated in France and England before earning a B.S. degree with honors in marketing from San Francisco State University. She speaks four languages and enjoys running, yoga and pilates in her downtime.
Matthew L. Goldberg
Vice President of Operations and General Counsel
Matt brings his Silicon Valley experience and global perspective to the role of Vice President of Operations and General Counsel where he leads Multiven's customer advocacy programs. Prior to Multiven, Matt was an attorney with the Silicon Valley law firms of Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigan, LLP and Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich LLP (now DLA Piper LLP), where he represented investors and technology companies in venture capital and corporate financings, public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, asset sales and other strategic transactions. Matt has also worked for The Walt Disney Internet and Mobile Phone Group (Asia Pacific) in Tokyo and Ernst & Young LLP in New York.
Matt holds a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a J.D. from George Washington University Law School, and an LL.M. in Transnational Law from Temple University Japan. Matt has published three articles, including Developing Cross-Cultural Negotiation Skills: International Travel as a Legal Skills Training Tool and The New International Diligence Factors for Technology Investment Professionals: Government Support and Culture. Matt also taught business ethics for Temple Continuing Corporate Education in Japan. An avid traveler, Matt has visited 40 countries on six continents
James Light
Vice President of Sales
James brings to Multiven over 25 years of technology sales leadership expertise. Prior to Multiven, he spent more than 9 years at EMC Corporation orchestrating the creation and development of market-leading global systems integrator partnerships that fueled explosive growth for EMC. At EMC, he was also responsible for the creation of industry-first joint venture based go-to-market offerings with EDS, Deloitte Consulting and Accenture. Prior to EMC, James held various sales leadership, systems engineering and advanced system development positions at various companies including Solbourne Computers, Alliant Computers, Data General and the US Airforce.
James earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science and Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Syracuse University in New York. As a second degree black belt, he was the US national Tae Kwon Do sparring champion in 1994. He is also an avid skydiver with seventy-seven jumps - ten of which were from 33,000 feet.
Dawn Meyerriecks
Advisory Board Member
Dawn brings to Multiven’s advisory board over 25 years of executive leadership in technology and operations management. Most recently, she was the Senior Vice President for product technologies at AOL, overseeing full lifecycle development and integration of all consumer-facing AOL products and services, including the relaunch of aol.com and AOL Instant Messenger.
Prior to AOL, Dawn was the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and Technical Director of the Joint Interoperability and Engineering Organization (JIEO) where she defined, implemented and managed complex IT systems for the DoD, office of the President, Vice-President and Secretary of State. Her last assignment was to charter and lead a new Global Information Grid (GIG) Enterprise Services organization.
Before DISA, Dawn served as the Chief Engineer and Program Manager at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
Dawn has been honored with numerous awards including, the Presidential Distinguished Service Award, November 2001; Government Computer News Department of Defense Person of the Year for 2004; CIO magazine 2002, 20/20 Vision Award; InfoWorld 2002 CTO of the year; Federal Computer Week 2000 Top 100; InfoWorld 2001 CTO of the year for the government sector; the Senior Executive Service Exceptional Achievement Awards in 1998, 1999, 2000; and the National Performance Review in August 1996. In November 2001, she was featured in Fortune magazine as one of the top 100 intellectual leaders in the world.
Dawn earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Loyola Marymount University.
